So here at Holiday Film Reviews, ye olde bloggers have decided to celebrate with another blog-a-thon of Dickensian entertainments over the next week (since A Christmas Carol was first published on the 17th of December 1843.)
As you may recall, we did a Dickensfest blog-a-thon last year. Here's a listing of our posts from "Chirstmas Past":
* A Christmas Carol (1910)
* Mickey's Christmas Carol
* A Christmas Carol (1984)
* Family Ties: A Keaton Christmas Carol
* An American Christmas Carol (written by guest blogger Joanna Wilson of ChristmasTVHistory.com)
* Scrooged (written by guest blogger Ian Rennie)
* Blackadder's Christmas Carol
* The Six-Million Dollar Man: A Bionic Christmas Carol
* Saturday Night Live - Danny Devito (1988) : "Bankrupt Scrooge"
There are so many adaptations that we thought we'd share a few more with all of you this week.
We might also throw in some examples of productions that use Dickens himself as a character or aren't strictly adaptations of the original story.
We hope you enjoy!
